ESET Authentication Server

The separate component of ESET Smart Security 4 called ESET Authentication Server is intended to enhance especially security of portable computers. As the various networks to which they are connected to need to be differentiated and authenticated in order to ensure full protection.

This authentication is carried out by identifying the authentication server within the network and subsequent authentication of the server by asymmetric encryption (RSA) or by adoption of configuration from local network.

Each time when connecting to a new network, the authentication process must be executed to ensure a secure network connection. Moreover, the zone can be paired with a firewall profile.
